Educational Offerings at Scout’s Haven
From our little learners program - our homeschool elementary learning pod. Scout’s Haven serves as a satellite campus to willow glenn academy/ scout's learning pod.

We believe that there are no two children who are exactly alike; every child possesses a unique learning style. At Scout’s Haven- Willow Glenn Academy, we assess each child and incorporate Montessori/ Reggio- inspired lessons into every lesson, while merging the worlds of traditional bookwork and introducing moderate technology. Our approach is ‘whole-child’ centered; we do not follow a particular curriculum. We believe the children are the curriculum. A weekly lesson plan is carefully curated by the owner and primary educator, Ms.Sara, and facilitated directly by Ms. Sara & Ms. Emily, or any approved, background-checked educator. We operate a small program and serve as a true learning pod by offering a 1:6 student-to-teacher ratio and a maximum of 12 learners per cohort.
Scout’s Haven is closed to the public during our education programs. The doors are locked, and the only adults allowed within the building during these hours are approved educators.

Though we are an inclusive environment and are happy to support learners of all abilities, it is our goal to create a community of cohesion and an environment that fosters creativity, friendship, and to maintain a collaborative effort in maintaining a comfortable, safe, prosperous, and joyful learning journey for all families within the Scouts’ community. For this reason, a family interview is required to be considered for admission into any of our programs. This ensures a mutual understanding of expectations and goals within the program amongst all parties involved in supporting each child’s growth.
Open houses and open-play meetings are considered a valid form of a ‘family interview.’
